This week was a good one in the NBA. Quite a few triple-doubles took place and some pretty impressive scoring outputs as well. Naturally, there are only a few who qualify for our Frequent Flyers.
Our first Frequent Flyer this week was Nuggets forward, Darrell Arthur. In games against Golden State and Miami, Arthur had 18 points, including an 18-point, 11-rebound performance in a win over the defending champs. Pretty impressive for a Nuggets team that has struggled to find a go-to-player so far this year.
Next is Spurs guard, Tony Parker. Parker, who has struggled at times this year looked more like his usual self in wins over Detroit and Cleveland. He was not settling for jump shot, but was instead attacking the basket and putting floater up over some pretty big guys like Drummond and Mozgov. For this resurgence, Tony qualifies this week.
Lastly, we have 76ers guard, Ish Smith. He is proving to be a future piece for the Sixers in their rebuilding process. In some impressive outings from Philly this week, Smith lead the way for the Sixers by either scoring or distributing the ball. I like the continuity I am seeing from someone on the Sixers, which is why Smith qualifies this week.
Thank you for flying with the High Flyers. If you have anyone that you thought should have been a Frequent Flyer, please comment below!
